APPALLED!!! Disgusted!!! Worst CEO ever!!! He should look in the mirror. All he cares about is his bottom line. Employees.....PEOPLE, are de-valued at WF. There is zero care. Every day under his leadership is worse and worse. He's turned everyone into robots with no voice. Notice how we're no longer asked about the work environment, the tools to do the job....etc. Because that man does NOT care. Period.
Scharf has the investment community snowed into believing he knows what he's doing and the investment community doesn't care about employee cohesion or culture, they just want to see the asset cap removed and the stock price to rise. Scharf is just another clown in the continual CEO circus of Wells Fargo.
Cultware?
I see a side hustle for someone.
I'm not one to defend WF or some of it's practices, but in this case what Charlie said is spot-on, and it took guts.
Charlie has earned some respect from me for saying it like it is. Too many people here won't do that.
Strangely, CS also went out of his way to criticize the NFL for being too violent. Sounds like he was picked last in gym class as a child.
Yea I cringed when he said it! Sounds like he is upset with our CULTure and is trying to change the nature of the way we work. Culture and Cult? He is completely trying to make us workers with no direction and no common goal. If I am just a worker. I could work ANYWHERE! Thanks Charlie!
He also needs to look up the definition of “cult” and understand the connotations of the word.
The insincere apology that’s coming will likely just make things worse… and trigger a new round of awareness training!
I noticed he really got excited when he mentioned that Team=Cult....I don't know about the rest of you, but did anyone notice his eyes turned red when he was talking about cults? That was the strangest rant ever from a CEO. Bet if you lifted up his hair, you'd find 666 stamped in there somewhere......
The sad part was he was looked sooo excited to share his "cult-like" experience. I'm sure this makes those faithfull Wells Fargo Team Members feel valued.
My jaw dropped when he went into that whole "cult" discussion. Bizarre. Though, it provides insight into what he thinks about the bank and employees.
S Powell should prepare to step in real soon. SC will get a lot of heat for his comments.
I am still in disbelief that Charlie Scharf said on today’s call that Wells Fargo was “cult-like” when he came here because we called each other “team members “. Has he ever looked up the definition of “team” ?
We use to work together for a common goal, which is what a team does. But Charlie doesn’t want that because we “don’t play sports “.
“Team” is not just for sports genius!
Five minutes earlier he is telling us he wants everyone in the office so that we work together and to collaborate. Sorry Charlie. I’m not part of a “team”, I’m just an employee.
Loudspeaker is waiting for this great idea!
Are you reconvinced yet?
Cultmates™ FTW!
Yes! Do it!!!!
I'm in... let's get some metrics for SVB.
