The Director of Manufacturing/Engineering at Mason is leaving Feb 2nd. Add this to the growing list of Director and Director+ positions which have vacated over the last 3 months - plus the entire on site HR team resigning together last fall.
The talk is a coming big contract and remodel of the facility - the smart money is on the fact that the building lease expires at the end of the year and the remodel is cover for emptying the building. The only asset of value at Mason is the wafer foundry, but even that is rapidly aging out. L3H is not even doing basic maintenance on the facility anymore.

Did you work at a location where you were told as a female engineer that "no woman could survive in this (engineering) department"?

I feel bad. Bad for all the employees who've stayed, myself included. We are understaffed by 8 people in my small group. No one has been hired and the ones interviewed will not take the low pay. My wife has been telling me to quit for years. I believe I have Stockholm syndrome.
