The well intended people who advise to "keep your head down" do not get it. This mentality is part of the over problem with the company. I have many relatively senior colleagues who have selfishly uttered similar sayings. These are 55+ year olds who have managed to climb the corporate ladder into director and above positions with one motivation - to squeeze out another 5 years from this place. They are "yes" men and women who would rather do entry level work then to question why such work is still being done in costly locations. They work all hours of the night and refuse vacation solely in fear of there future. Sad.
