ICS operates with a significant amount of work theater, which are people caring more about the appearance of working than doing actual work.
Countless meetings with numerous attendees doing nothing, countless documents no one is asking for, countless presentations that no one cares about.
It's impossible to sift through the noise and get to the heart of the matter.

This isn’t something that’s an issue out of ICS alone. I’ve had to attend meetings from the LOBs to discuss the scheduling of meetings.
Ridiculous waste of resources and money imo.
Agile box checkers along with the gigantic bureaucracy that adds nothing to productivity is the most intrusive waste of time all of us in tech deal with daily. That’s the theater we all deal with in addition to the mountain of compliance and zero help oversight with a constant threat of the audit demon descending on our application for the tiniest perceived infraction.

are those doofuses from vulnerability management still conducting their meeting theater? something like 70 people on that 1 hour meeting to "review" a powerpoint that is available to people already when it's sent to them.
No need whatsoever for this stupid meeting that costs wells 70 man hours.
My mind is empty at most meetings. Its either some new manager telling people about their family to act human, which I don't care about. Something about Agile, by someone who doesn't have to live with the horrible administrative burden of the process. Or its some Indian who sends an invite to 900 people for an item that 3 people could solve.
I’ve started to not attend meetings that do not have agenda, or that i am not needed to provide input to. It has helped me improve my productivity and value to the team. Give it a try. 👍🏼
