Do the chickens have large talons?
Welcome to geology
There’s a reason many laid off people don’t land anywhere. They have been in the same role and never promoted, which is a red flag to recruiters.
It does seem that the more talented and ambitious people have all left over the years. I guess the company is ok with that. I also guess I have neither talent or ambition. LOL.
What the previous poster said is hard. Easier to stay do nothing and get paid.
Job market participation rate is at a 40 year low and job openings are at an all time high. QE will tapper in March, so that will give you a few months to see who the strong companies are coming out of that. Start interviewing strong in June/July. Employers will continue to get desperate, so wages will rise for new hires, not for existing employees, and the timing works well to take your August LTI. Don’t wait until the end of the year, the broader economy won’t be in a good place. Go to a well diversified company. Europe is maybe 1-2 years from collapsing and that will trickle down hard on the global economy. So, enjoy the short term oil rally while you can.
I stay because I have no skills or a decent resume to show other employers, maybe they don’t know how valued I am at pxd though!?!
No raises no promotions why stay?
Same inflation is impacting the corporation? Yeah, in an avalanche of profit. Stay poor, bro.
Millllllion in ten!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At least minimum wage is on the rise. I was told that a rise in minimum wages to $15 an hour would not impact inflation across the country. Whoops
A lot of companies didn’t give raises at all
Social-economic problems are not exactly Pioneer’s responsibility. Same inflation is impacting the corporation.
