got exceeds even though 4/5 of my categories were a consistently exceeds. manager told me no one in our dept was rated a consistently exceeds doesn't make sense. got merit today for 6% which is way more than I was expecting.

It’s called Time Management. See most people in the bank cannot properly manage their time and look like bumbling id--ts at work.

Consistently needs improvement but we are giving you a 25% bonus because you are so far under market we think you deserve it because you are willing to take one for the team of exceeds expectations super nova’s

What amazes me is that we have these super souped performers on this sight with the Exceeds promotions yadda yadda and they have time to spend time on a layoffs site. Go figure

@lxy pretty much nails it.

In over 20 years here, I've had maybe 2-3 useful performance reviews. Then I took an exempt position. Now it's "write your own review and I'll review it."

In reality it's not a performance review, it's an annual non-metrics gathering and position justification review.

Been here over 10 years and the whole performance review process has changed at least 5-6 times during my tenure here.

I used to look forward to receiving feedback on my performance but unfortunately it has become more of a time consuming formality which managers hate doing rather than a genuinely productive discussion.

The most ridiculous part of it now is that these reviews were completed all the way back in October, a full quarter before they are discussed with us.

a long time ago, reviews and compensation were done at same time... don't know why it changed...my guess is mgmt wants them separated in the event review and merit don't align. That gives mgrs a slippery way out when stiffing you--on the flip side, effusive congrats on bonus (if eligible) and % increase....

I really do not understand why there is a two week gap between when you get your review and when you get your merit increase/bonus. Why are these not synched up? How hard would it be to move the review process back two weeks, move the merit discussion up two weeks (but tell people it takes effect on whatever date), or split the difference and do both a week between the normal dates. The whole gap just makes no sense.

Who cares about the review? Show me the money (which hasn’t been shared yet).

I'm scheduled to receive review this week....I expect a lot of cut and paste from past reviews--but going to share: mgr cut and paste verbiage from other reviews he wrote for others w/o changing names...he's a narcissist but that's another topic....compensation is mgr option and if they decide to give -0- they will point finger to HR. That happened last year, I asked HR why and they pointed back to mgr. smdh!
Compensation needs a formula that calculates fair merit increases --not based on how mgr feels about you.

consistently exceeds, also told promoted but was also told that last year only to be surprised a week later when the final comp was released. nothing is official until the oc signs off on it and the comp docs are produced.
