He acts like one as well. I ran into him recently and he kept telling me how leaving TR was the best decision he's ever made. The guy was always moping around and seemed like he carried the weight of the world on his shoulders. Now he looks full of energy and happy. If I needed another proof that grass is greener on the other side, I got it.

So true! I was forced to take severance this year and was upset at first. I had an exceptional team who always received high ratings and I loved the people I worked with. However, I had conversations with two coworkers who'd left within the previous six months and both were SO much happier after they left! One had even been recruited away (after initially turning down the other offer because they loved TR and thought they were happy, didn't want to leave, etc. but ended up getting a better offer at the new company). They later told me they didn't realize how toxic the culture was at TR until they were gone. Just being gone for a few months, I feel like I have a massive weight off my shoulders, have less anxiety, sleep better at night, etc...!
People in non-tech rolls in their 30s and 40s are leaving here and there in MSP. The remaining groups have many retiring next year. So add that on top of the people they just laid off, there will mounting work on the few that will stay. Wonder what they will do with the mammoth building that will only house lawyers that they can’t outsource.
I just left as well. I start my new role shortly. I can attest that you're not at fault. The focus is to cut costs to raise the share price. What that will do for the long run may not matter depending upon the master strategy they've not shared with the rest of us. It's a relief to start fresh. No place is perfect, but it's clear that if you're in the US, your future employment with TR is uncertain.
Grass is greener on the other side. I am still dealing with being let down , judged , gaslighted that's why I check this place. Looking for confirmation that I am not totally at fault , and what ever game that was needed to be played at TR is not my style. I did learn and do a lot at TR though.
Can confirm. Grass is greener! Took me more than a couple months to let go of the unhealthy things TR does to you emotionally, but am in a MUCH better place now. Both physically and mentally.
The company culture here is so toxic. Received a departure email today from one of the best and kindest employees at the company. Everyone with a brain knows it’s time to leave this sinking ship.
