Thread regarding Dunkin layoffs

But wait there's more!

After "re-orgs" were supposed to be done, people are still being told they're no longer wanted. Mind you these were people who exemplified the old Dunkin' culture and tried to hang in there and "ki-l em with kindness".

I assume this will continue till Paul Brown's egotistical vision of "transforming the restaurant industry" by shoving as much undigestible junk down as many people's throats as possible has been completed.

That’s actually not true at all. Plenty of dining rooms are open. Of course the focus is on drive-through, we are in the middle of a pandemic! And as far as the bonuses go, those that were let go were promised full bonus payouts so I’m not sure how you think this sounds crazy.

Bonus??? You must be kidding.

Do you realize how dis-attached it sounds? People who “sold “us got their bonuses already. That is the extend of it.

Go to your local Dunkin and you will see that most got converted to drive thru only… Reason - cheaper to operate.

Reread after me “ I am just an overhead”

I’d also like to know the story behind this post. I thought the layoffs were over too. More importantly, it’s interesting that those operations managers (I mean business consultants) that were recently laid off were told to put their out of office messages on. They’re just not working. Lucky them. Meanwhile here we all are…waiting for a bonus that most likely won’t come.

To the OP, were more people just let go or loosely told they would be? With the exception of finance and accounting that were already told of the delay, I thought we were done with layoffs?

I always said - people were let to go at the beginning were the luckiest one. No drama, full benefits etc.

The bloodbath will start in 4 weeks when there is no more Dunkin as a legal entity. We will be at no-mercy of a crazy bunch who see us as ballast on their bloody balance sheets (Kate, are you still there?)

Private company with no accountability or labor protection - what else can go wrong. If you quit now you can still file unemployment with the state by showing them that you were forced to leave.... It is something that I am currently considering
