Former team lead here, im in my mid 40s got laid off along with a couple of others in my department at Spring. Honestly I thought I was going to die, I had spent 20 years at Exxon and during this time I found out my wife (mid 30s) was cheating on me with some African guy that is 22 that she met at a inner city outreach thing. The divorce is still ongoing, I drank heavily the first week, but now I am feeling better. Started taking morning walks and going to the gym, I have 3 interviews next week and I am preparing hard for them, just wanted to let you guys know that there is life after Exxon. Good luck to all
