Why doesn't anyone want to share more information about what was said in the town hall meeting? There are just a few hints here.

someone should be committed.
Ive been through many. Too many. Lol. Usually 2 weeks per year, max 26 weeks
Wow.. we get roughly 3 weeks per year of service in Canada to a max of 18 to 24 months.
The severance packages are always terrible! 2 weeks for every year and a max of 26 weeks. Unemployment has nothing to do with severance. You can't draw at the same time but can collect both. Unemployment is less than half of your salary and they don't take out taxes so you will owe a bunch.
Make decisions that move you towards a place of hope and prosperity!
Is person that said " i wouldn't count on anything " the same one that referred to "project 2020"?
Think I'll wait out Feb to see if anything happens before starting paperwork
i wouldnt count on anything....but it may hit the fan before then. id make my plans
So gonna retire at end of March. Should i wait to see if severence is offered.
The 2020 Project Reorganization for Improved Profitability, Optimization, and Growth was supposed to start in early 2020 but Covid significantly delayed the timeline. It involves reducing the workforce to make the company more effective and efficient through the reduction of unnecessary and redundant tasks and personal. You see it starts with the ABC rating of stores and will eventually end with shifting the go to market strategy away from DSD much sooner than anticipated. Expect an announcement in February at a special townhall session. From what I have seen it looks like the severance packages are very poor and will not allow you to collect unemployment benefits.
Didn't they give the bakers a subtle hint shortly before the announcement of their closures to soften the blow?
Feb is roughly 50 days away for those that are sticking around, at least you won't have to wait too much longer. Unless you are about to retire, no way this company is worth it! They treat field sales and merchandisers as disposable assets, they simply do not care about you or your family. So easy to find better.
Yes, the hint that something is coming but very vague as always.
It was vague as usual. But they did use restructure word. Just kept referring to things being announced in Feb. Could be anything but think we all kniw that they are not done changing sales.
