Thread regarding Belk layoffs

It's not about making Belk better

To sell Belk or not to sell that is the question for Sycamore Partners Hedge Fund in coming 2022. It is not about buying a company to make it better but to squeeze out maximum money and profits before leaving Belk heavy in debts. Actions speak louder than word. To say one thing and then doing something else to Belk. I say to Sycamore Partners that Actions Lie Better than their words! The last thing we should not worry is when Belk store Toilets will be fixed and replaced in 2022!

@isn+1ebbRDhf hits the nail on the head!

It is very simple to think about Belk and Sycamore Partners like this: "Respect and blind faith go both ways. If they don't offer Respect and Trust' then why should they deserve our "Confidence and Loyalty". Fair enough?

“Man in the mirror” song by Michael Jackson reminds me so much about Belk and Sycamore Partners business strategy. If you want to change the world, you have to change you vision and feeling toward something better. We know that and we Belk associates are not that stupid! Belk company fails you have only yourselves to blame as you replied. The only big mirror you don’t see is that Sycamore Partners is the “Man” behind the “mirrors” trying to squeeze “bloody” money and profits out of poor Belk before throw it away like other heavy and in debts companies they bought and sold in the past! As the Belk associates we have nothing to do or say except Belk CEOs and their bad business practices! So please don’t try to blame us for Belk company failing business like the old saying “Don’t p-e on my leg and tell me it is raining! Enough said!

Remind yourselves that Sycamore is doing exactly what the company is in business for. They never acquired Belk to “save” it. If the company fails you only have yourselves to blame. Just read any posts here as far back as you can go and you will see the negative feelings towards your own company. Look in the mirror folks- there’s where the problems lie.

"Our very eyes, are sometimes like our judgments, Blind." -William Shakespeare
It is not about making Belk better but make it worst since Belk was sold to Sycamore Partners in 2015. It is not about Belk having more quality, beautiful merchandises to sell but all the cheap and clearances merchandises or bad selections since 2015. It is not about having enough Belk associates to help customers but less staffs on the floor to cut and save the payroll revenues for Belk Store Managers and their big bonus. It is not about making Belk better for associates to work at Belk but make it a toxic and no compassion place to work anymore at Belk. "All of those people you speak are on this board as complainer, gripers and whiners" as Belk blind loyal fans wrote recently.
Sycamore Partners and Belk have shown us that their Actions Lie Better than their words! The last thing we should not worry is when Belk stores leaking bathroom toilets cheap merchandises, quality Belk associate workers will be fixed and replaced in 2022!
Sycamore Partners and Belk are running the business with "blind assumptions" that Belk associates and customers are stupid and don't know any better about anything!
All I can say to Sycamore and Belk is that "A blind person who see is better than a seeing person who is blind" If you are a hammer all you see are nails at Belk dirty stores nothing else!
