Stock Price says Management is Disaster

Changing metrics and improved operating performance isn't going to turn around stock price. Imagine if they simply bought Time Warner and just LEFT IT ALONE. Stock would be much better off. This management team sets fire to the houses they buy over and over again. Company is in a Death Spiral.

Reminds me of a story of 3 little pigs, where the wolf says, "I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down."

Reminds me of the story of little Johnny was in class where the teacher was asking each child to make a short speech on "What their father does for a living". The teacher noticed little Johnny had been very quiet so asked him to go next. He slowly walked to the front of the class and began: "My father is a male stripper entertaining other men. They put dollars in his G-string and at the end of the evening if one has paid him well he will go home with him for pay. " The teacher was socked and dismissed the class early for recess. As they were leaving she called little Johnny aside and asked "is that really what your father does?" Johnny replied " No, He works at AT&T but I was too embarrassed to let the other kids know"

Stock price says company has to make more money. Now get back to work, and stop underperforming.

Yes, get back to work and work harder. John Stankey has many more phuck ups to pay for in addition to the one's under his belt. Seriously, is there anyone other than the sycophants (a person who acts obsequiously toward someone important in order to gain advantage) that infects this company that have any faith in John's "Leadership". Seriously, this is an honest question.

We have an AT&T tech exec in our neighborhood, the amount of jokes this guy has endured over the last 5 years at get togethers are insane. I think he is embarrassed being associated with this disaster, but works from home and doesn't seem to care. Sounds like the dribble I've read on this thread. people don't care because management screwed it up. Vicious circle of garbage

Most employees haven’t needed stock price indicators to know T management has been a dumpster fire for years now.

There is no hope for T unless and until Stankey is kicked to the curb. He thinks he is safe, but time will tell, I personally think his days are numbered.

Yet the Stink will get more eight figure bonuses from the M O R O Ns in the BoD. And BlackRock and Vanguard, Toxic T two biggest shareholders, just sit and let it happen while they go after other companies for Climate Change? Something really fundamentally wrong here.

Frontier Communications went on a buying spree and fell under their debt load. I don’t think AT&T will declare bankruptcy like Frontline but the market understands the opportunity cost that AT&T is bearing from their foolish purchases of DIrecTV and Time Warner. Expect the bleeding to continue. If the merger with Discovery is blocked, it will be more fuel on this dumpster fire.

I hope every single lousy a$$ director level and above at that company finds their stock options are worth less than the thin single ply toilet paper they stock in the Dallas office

I can't imagine who would be d-mb enough to still own this stock. Imagine buying and holding this stock in 2000 as a blue chip stock for retirement. Worst investment ever.

Such a disgrace! I can only hope the bean counters give executive management a very rude awakening of the prognosis of T as it appears to be dire in the eyes of the employees!

"Executive" management or "Leadership". Many people here use the term "management" erroneously. Anyone not covered under a bargaining contract is "management". I for one don't want to be labelled as having anything to do with bone headed decisions and execution that I had nothing to do with.

I think everyone knew the odds of ATT making a go with Time Warner were 10 to 1. After HBO Town Hall it was 500-1. Nothing like poisoning the Town's Well your first day on the job. I can't take him seriously in any aspect. He has lost the employee base and investment community. Stock going sub $20 soon. Cannot compete with TMobile or Verizon.

Stanley knows it all. He said it himself, he's read some books through out the years and determined all by himself those books are worthless since his so called business accumen and extensive industry knowledge guide him to burn everything the company buys for him, and does it better than anybody else.
