@1wgz, I hope you don't mind if I copy this post into a new thread
AIG supposedly wants to be an insurance company leader except they outsource IT, outsource claims, outsource shared services. They refuse to acknowledge CATs are part of the loss ratio so they keep buying expensive reinsurance. Then they want to sell off their most profitable business L&R.
Is it just me or does it seem like AIG is being dismantled piece by piece? Maybe they will finally ki-l this old dinosaur in the next decade.
I'm sure that some of the Medical Management Staff will be let go and some will stay. They will probably keep everyone at first and then let them go once everything is in place. I'm sure that AIG will get out of paying the severance and it will fall upon GB to pay. Who knows what their package will be.
As Gallagher already has a medical management program in place, will all of the Medical Management staff, such as pre injury consultants and health direct nurses be laid off? What is the time frame?
It’s been tough for wc claims for awhile now. Wishing you all of the best.
To last post... just WC claims. Wouldn't be surprised to see this happen to other LOBs in future.
Does this apply to all claims or just WC? When is the transition to take place?
With the move, I'm sure there will be downsizing and wonder how that will affect severance.
This is unfortunate news for our WC claims team, which does great work. Also a disservice to out insureds. This is just one more step towards breaking up the company. (Accenture, and now Gallagher).
