While many Americans look for better paying job UHG has decided to flip Americans the middle finger and hire droves of people from the Philippines. They are currently hiring 3 IT associate managers for the help desk level which each manage can have up to 16 techs. And they are "casual employees" meaning paygrade 20 off shore techs making barley US minimum wage.
Building up the offshore "talent" so they can give us on shore people our walking papers.
It's a race to the bottom and us onshore are the first to be cut.

Yes, they are doing this in behavior health as well. Hiring freeze for US employees but hiring a large amount of offshore employees
They use and abuse USians because there are very few if any US work rights. Ask the lobbyists and corporatists why that is....usa, usa
Why doesn't the US empire have health care for all?
On my LinkedIn feed today:
Indian guy in India is now a “management trainee” at Optum in India.
Can’t seem to find again but yeah, another barebones trained overseas manager.
I own a company and I will NEVER use UHC or Optum for any of my benefits! This is what happens when the new regime was voted in. I also refuse to buy anything not made in the USA! Done with supporting offshore!
Why doesn't the US have universal health care? Hyper capitalism and corporate owned "country"
It's about culture, values, and......emptiness. More of nothing. Hamsters on a wheel.
MOPtum strikes again!
They work cheap, worship the US, and speak English fluently. The corporation wants cheap labor and can easily access it at the detriment of Americans because they can. They have lobbyists they influence politicians for this and US worker is hung out to dry. usa, usa
Glassdoor is a good place to let the world and other potential job seekers know the full truth about UHC and Optum and how they abuse and discriminate US workers.
Well the word on the street is the US reorg layoffs begin starting the week of 12/13/2021.
Good Luck!
Make sure to not prepare documentations showing how to do your job. Don't hand your job over on a silver platter. Also warn as many Americans as possible so they can take their businesses elsewhere. We should be supporting our local economy.
Let them see how much they can make from their Filipino customers since they're putting the payroll out there.
