Chevron has gone to $h**. Reviews are worthless. Promotions decided by people who have no knowledge of your success or failures. They don’t care about you or your family. They only care about if you are in their social network. Not about what you accomplish, only who you know. I’ve worked harder and provided more results than I ever have but I have a very average rating. CTC is stupid. There is a reason attrition is so high, even though management denies it. So full of it.

Sounds like you need to do a better job during the year including your supervisor on the work you do, which is not a new concept. “If it isn’t visible, it didn’t happen.” Work does NOT speak for itself and if your boss has no idea what you do, that’s on you. Especially with how completely broken CTC is right now and the crazy platform/chapter model with chapter supervisors having dozens of direct reports, to exceed you need to own your relationship with your boss and keep your boss overly informed of what you are doing. Otherwise, of course you’re going to be rated average because they don’t know what you do unless you tell them.
There is nothing that prevents a soft supervisor from granting "exceeds" on all counts for all her employees. Historically, supervisors have over-rated their employees and only through balancing has it been shown who the true high performers were.
Four exceeds will be a red flag fo sho. Should have thrown in a valued. You think they won’t be reporting on and looking at you? Hah. You’re clearly way overpaid.
4 exceeds? That is world class. Can I ask what group you’re in?
Got my four "exceeds" ... hopefully it amounts to at least 5%

Yes, but the problem with your post is that attrition is not high. Its normal. Not above normal at all. Funny thing about facts and data. When you post lies and untruths on the internet it's meaningless and no one cares. That's makes your entire post suspicious. it uses a lie, and false data, like attrition is high, to try to prove a point, and since that is false, none of your post is believable.
Same as every other company and organization. You have to pal up to the bosses. I knew one guy who got to be a hi-p-t just because he socialized with the GM. We all thought it was a riot because he was such a low-p-t to us!
