I would like to see this company make a donation to the communities suffering after the recent tornado destruction. It would be great if this donation exceeded the amounts for other frivolous things they have donated to in the past.

OP It’s climate change dummy. Stop repeating ignorance and stupidity. Texas has hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and wildfires…second only to Cali. What’s their excuse? That gimpy, ridiculous Governor or the unswept forest floors in TX…uneducated fool!
Everyone knows California doesn’t properly manage their forest floors which contributes to the fire problem. Then you have the domestic terrorists setting forest fires. California is a hot mess that brings a lot of problems upon itself. I feel bad for the good people that suffer under California’s lack of leadership. This company suffers from the same lack of leadership.
To provide context, in 2020 over 550 homes were destroyed by wildfires in the state of California. But the total devastation was 18,000 building and structures …demolished as a result of those wildfires. ATT’s donation in that year was $100K. This year’s wildfires destroyed 550 homes, and ATT donated $80k. These are just 2 examples of disasters in one state…..So, how much should ATT donate when these events occur? $1Mil, $10Mil?
Where do these donated funds come from? Petty cash, maybe? Just asking…..
Disgraceful, that's what it is. $100K from a wealthy company like AT&T. I agree, $1M would have been appropriate given the damage created by these tornadoes. Stankey throws more than $100K away weekly on uneeded corporate jet air travel.

I guess we will need to agree to disagree. Again, bottom line is that AT&T is donating a paltry sum of $100K when they should be donating $1M. These people have nothing short of the clothes on their backs.
Rebuilding telco infrastructure in these affected areas is not a donation to these tornado victims. They will need basic life necessities, shelter, food, vehicles, heat, etc. T will make their money back, many times over, with their overpriced services, using the replacement telco infrastructure!
And to those amazing team members who are working tirelessly to ensure telecommunication services are restored, we say ‘thank you’! That is truly our ‘donation’. Bravo ATT!
Nope, again…the comment is meant to awaken constituents whose elected representatives take millions from corporations like ATT and others, yet consistently vote against policies that are in the interest of their voters. Why shouldn’t they ‘donate’ some of that money to their citizens? Even a disaster like a major tornado won’t shake loose their pockets. BTW, I live no where near the states affected.
Hello…. We are spending millions rebuilding the network in all the impacted area. AT&T is doing what they do best, Disaster Recovery. AT&T C&E Rocks.
why do you contend they should 'make a donation' for this disaster and not others? Possibly because this time you're impacted? They will do what they do, deploy teams to get services back up, provide banks of phones and wireless APs for people to use, etc.
Nope, ‘some of us’ would not agree. Kentuckians, write your senators and ask them to forfeit $500k of their lobbyists donations. That’s who should be handing over bounties of cash.
It's downright embarrassing that a company the size of AT&T cannot muster up a respectable donation. Stankey will get his $100K back by eliminating one veteran employee. Very sad to see what AT&T has become. I would have expected a minimum donation of $1M from AT&T, I'm sure many will agree.

$100k plus the millions of other private, personal, corporate donations plus federal aid is a good start. I applaud their compassion. Give credit, where credit is due.

They have made a $100K donation to the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund, and the Governor has publicly thanked AT&T for that. They're waiving overage charges for customers in affected zip codes. This info is up on Insider. I like to bash as much as the next guy, but T actually does good in these situations.
