Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Cornell University reports more than 900 Covid-19 cases this week. Many are Omicron variant cases in fully vaccinated students

From CNN this morning
https://www.cnn.com/2021/12/14/us/cornell-university-covid-cases/index.html

"Virtually every case of the Omicron variant to date has been found in fully vaccinated students, a portion of whom had also received a booster shot," said Vice President for University Relations Joel Malina in a statement

But we won't even test those that are vaccinated. As mentioned by previous posters, Wells Fargo doesn't care about your well being, they have other priorities.

@jwt+1ejya5zU, sorry. Some people don't like science -- especially when it conflicts with their freedoms.

That source is not reliable nor reputable. It is corporate "news". More like entertainment. It's manufacturing consent via propaganda. Smith-Mundt Moderation Act (2013) authorizes domestic propaganda to used on the populace.

Natural immunity is usually the best immunity. Hopefully omnicron will spread with only mild symptoms for vaccinated and not, give most everyone natural immunity, and reduce the likelihood of future deaths. That would be a great end to the pandemic.

Twitter would remove your comment. He-l, I'm surprised it hasn't been taken down here. The truth was the first victim of the pandemic.

Again yet another person that is missing the point completely. While you all are arguing about getting vaccinated or not the company is laughing as you are all pitted against each other.
We are still in a pandemic, regardless of vaccine status you can get and transmit the virus yet only one group of people are being tested. Wells does not care about you and this is just more proof.
But go ahead and argue with each other, that only aids the company.

That's a very small sample (99 cases) taken early Dec over 7 days before we knew anything much about it in the US. Wait until we hit a million cases after Christmas - the data may look somewhat different.

The CDC lists majority of Omicron cases is with vaccinated people. Look at the table at the bottom of the page. The mandate is useless. Science, bi----s.

"lol oh ok we all hear your dog whistle"

Not really sure what you mean, but maybe the fact that I am vaccinated will put your mind at ease but great job in missing the point completely

OP here: My point was just reiterating the fact that we are only testing those that are unvaccinated whilst knowing that vaccinated people can get, carry and spread the virus.
It does not bother me one way or the other if you have been vaccinated or not, that is your choice, my concern is that Wells is placing your safety at risk regardless of vaccination status but requiring RTO and not testing all.

Yeah, this sometimes happens with variants. Same with the flu.

Someone needs to learn how to understand the data. 97% of Cornell’s students are vaccinated, so it would be difficult statistically for there to be a large # of infections in unvaccinated students.

Omicron is highly contagious and I don’t know too many students who are properly social distancing and masking outside of school.

Having said that, I do not want to have to go in to the office with any of the anti-vaccine warriors. They will end up ki----g us all just to prove a point.

I’m vaxxed and would welcome regular, company-provided testing to make sure I’m not inadvertently bringing COVID home with me.

They are just doing the bare minimum to follow the OSHA guidelines while forcing attrition by making us RTO. Not a shocker!!

The vax doesn’t prevent spread. It overwhelmingly prevents DEATH. Those 900 won’t likely die and without the shots, it would be a different story.
