At this point with all the cuts to healthcare I wouldn't be surprised if AT&T just pushed off their healthcare expenses on to the government.

I wish it was that simple..:providing factual information. But, no, the million and one explanation will mean nothing to these people. It’s like spitting in the ocean with the wind blowing
JFC. After all this time, people still don't understand what the the Affordable Care Act is. For the millionth time, it is not government healthcare. You get coverage through private insurance. The only thing you get from the gov't is a tax break on premiums if you meet income requirements. And even if you're not getting insurance through the ACA, you are still benefiting from it, like no more lifetime caps and not getting kicked off/denied coverage due to a pre-existing condition.

Right now, AT&T has its insurance managed by United Health Care, Blue Cross, etc.
Obamacare is subsidized insurance where you get a policy managed by ... United Health Care, Blue Cross, etc.
I think the deductibles and out-of-pocket charges would be higher for people on Obamacare.
I have rarely seen such baloney and lack of understanding of Gov. vs. Private vs. Corporate Healthcare in my long life. Equating Medicaid to VA Healthcare, Medicare to 'Advantage' etc. etc. is astounding.
Stick to getting ready to strike, asking questions that a 20 yr veteran of AT&T should know, and making up stupid nick names for people in AT&T.
OPs: FYI: ‘Government healthcare’ are federal and/or state healthcare exchanges that are provided ‘government’ subsidies to reduce the cost of premiums. Wait for it…like Medicare and Medicaid or Medicare Advantage; as well as programs like VA Healthcare, etc.
Yep….if you’re lucky enough to make it to retirement, you will be on a ‘government’ supported healthcare. The ACA is a federal law…

Stink is a megalomaniac. They probably discussed it why on Stink corporate jet taking him to his last hair treatment in Beverly Hills.
If they were stupid enough to try this they can only do it to management and retiree's. Bargained would retain whatever's in their contract. Would sure be a good way to lessen number of employee's.
There is a huge difference in the out of pocket especially for family coverage are you kidding. That cr-p on the exchange has like a 25k deductible its simply so you can go around telling people you have insurance where in reality don't ever get sick.
Well, to anyone paying attention it should be at least somewhat apparent that the country is moving away from employer sponsored healthcare. And for management there probably isn’t much difference between the high premium, high deductible coverage offered through T and what’s available in the exchange anyway.
