No info here. But last friday big snack train, and cheering one for all, all for none. And silly wigs, and boomer chanting mission statements

Cringed at the "sing away the stress" sing alongs and corporate chanting because it reminded us of when we read about how in the slavery era slaves would often sing while working out on the fields. Basically, that place is just another corporate company treating their employees like modern day American slaves. Sickening. Yet, that's the US way.

kid you not. the christmas party? We were promised (i know), that they would take care of us, big party, fun, make up for all the overtime weekends....they gave some junk that you get at a budget motel (prepackaged chemical artificial "pastry", granola bars, and some cheap weak coffee. Gooo team. How many BILLIONS in capitalistic profit did they make off of the sick and infirm again?

Employment at will doctrine. Only country in the world that has this. Let go anytime, any reason, no reason, no notice. But they had lots of wars

Those calling the post click bait are potentially management or HR attempting to cover their tracks of the constant layoffs Optum does to fly under the government radar to avoid federal laws. I wish a law firm would get them on this.

Notification in Nov. for Jan. layoff is an unusual amount of time. Are they vaccine mandate related?

The American company has no obligation to its employees. The only obligation a company has is to deliver for its shareholders for endless profits/hustling.

It’s not “all of Optum” but the ones laid off on the 13th already know. They were told in November. I know someone affected.

I have read an article some states are going to allow people to collect unemployment if they lost their jobs due to not getting vaccinated. I don't think Arizona is one of them but I would sure pick up the phone and start contacting people. It's too late for me I already took the jab in fear of losing my job and becoming homeless. Sad state we're in.

Based on the sheer lack of any even a dribble of substantive/backing information, not to mention the timing of your post... I suspect you are trolling people because you've having a bad holiday season.

Employment at will. Layoffs/terminations/firings all in the name of shareholder/owner profit. Race to the bottom.

That’s a broad statement. While I have no doubt that Optum will RIF folks here and there your non-detailed post appears to just be click bait.
