After so many years here, I don't think I'll just leave without severance pay......
Everyone knows it’s not particularly generous, but why leave that money to them. I got a few offers but I didn’t accept for just that reason.
Eventually I might decide to forget about severance pay if I get a much better offer in the meantime.
Meantime, no severance is guaranteed, here in the states. You could be holding out for a big 0 in the end. Companies everywhere have been reducing, and sometimes eliminating, severance.
