Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

A slight bump won't help

There has been a slight uptick in the stock price in the past few weeks (and I mean slight quite literally) but the fact remains that AT&T has lost 40 percent of its value in the past five years. How much more does it have to lose before there's a major overhaul in the leadership? Inquiring minds want to know.

Gamestop used the higher stock price to issue new stocks and gain over $1B more capital for investment into their business.

ATT has to repurchase shares to keep its price from falling lower, instead of investing in its technical debt and degraded infrastructure. None of this is layoffs though, so stay on topic!

Stock prices today are not representative of the financial well being of the company. Look at AMC and Game Stop. Stock price is all objective of the feelings of the buyers. Now if AT&T can make the re-birth as a telecom company successful, and get rid of some debt there is room for improvement. Just need a Reddit rally.

And what, pray tell, does the company's financial performance have to do with layoffs? Stay on topic!

go look at the price around the year 1998 - 2000 for sbc and before the psychos started buying back all the baby bells.

Market Cap 177.24B -150B(long term debt)= 27.24B/7.141B(total number of shares) = $3.82 per share
not anywhere close to the current stock price and that data is from projected data

Makes me wonder what the Ratty / Stinky promised Morgan Stanley for their upgrade?

I bet the Ratty/Stink's buy high, sell low, spin-off deal has some "consulting" fees slated for MS? And maybe there is some dependency on the Toxic T stock price as part of the spin-off? So MS, in their own self interest, did the upgrade to keep the spin-off going?

Not only is Toxic T's Stink a liar, immoral, megalomaniac, but Wall Street does not have any morals on manipulating anything that will make them $.
