Ford is screwed unless they reverse course.

Thanks for the word from inside GM. Looks like it's time for me as a software automation head to apply over there and tell HR I'll enjoy my unpaid leave by starting work for a direct competitor just up the road.
You don't have to disclose at GM. It's only encouraged. I told them I'm not playing that game, and they haven't bothered me since. And no they aren't enforcing the illegal shot mandate. They knew ahead of time it was never going to pass.
GM requires all U.S. salaried employees to confidentially report and disclose their COVID-19 vaccination status as a condition of employment. This information is being collected in order to help assess the overall immunity status of our employee population and continuously determine the appropriate measures to ensure employee health and safety.
GM requires vaccination for all new hires.
Gets better - GM is reported (via Detroit Freep) to be hiring 8300 technical people this year - which includes the 400 software engineers. Of course, begs the question how many are direct hire vs. contract/purchased service. However, guess at this point if they are still mostly remote, does it matter? Will get my resume together and check it out....where do it sign? :-)
US. Remote is acceptable.
Ok - but where are they hiring them - Michigan, remote, or India?
