Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

WFH

I heard Brea is closing down the office and all people in the building are WFH permanently. Any truth to this? If they offer it in one location it should be offered anywhere that can.

If they offer WFH in Brea they should offer WFH for all. Just of how much money they would save. No rent or mortgage payment for the building, no insurance for employees while that are in te buildings, save on supplies, no utilities.

Smh they are being offered wfh because the building was sold .. nothing to do with Covid most of the people in that site will eventually lose their job because most departments are moving to phoenix

I don't know what job functions are done in Brea. If they let everyone work from home then there is no excuse why the rest of us have to RTO. I think they will ship as many jobs to India as possible. Just one more nail in the coffin of the American middle class.

I think BOA and other big companies need to convert most their big beautiful buildings into apartments and let employees/people live in it rather than just leaving them empty. the housing prices and rents are going up like crazy and some thing need to be done thinking out of the box before another big issue comes up in front of us.

They will WFH momentarily before their positions are outsourced to India.
