Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

What is the current global Headcount?

I was waiting for the earnings call, but it seems like the official data is only going to be shared in the 10k. Did they end up cutting 14000 positions? 2020 YE data was 72 k now if you count ppl below presidents we should be around 62 k. 4000 more to go?

You’re forgetting the contractor reduction. There you got the additional down. It is not more employees. It was 14k positions, employees and contractors. Official headcount is already available. There’s nothing to hide.

The Executive that was behind the hiring binge 2017-2019 should be fired after the Lesson Learned in 2012 layoff.

Probably still employed and received a bonus for starting the hiring binge the another bonus for leading the layoffs.

Official headcount will not be reported until the Annual Report is published in May 2022.

We stated to Wall Street in June 2021 that we would reduce headcount by 14,000 compared to 2019 headcount.

Staff reductions and asset sales are expected to continue through 2023 based on this morning's 4Q2021 earnings call.

Year Regular Employees
2015 73,500
2016 71,100
2017 69,600
2018 71,000
2019 74,900
2020 72,000
2021 to be published in May 2022
2022 tbd
2023 tbd
