I was wondering if anyone here has had luck dealing with employee relations? The few times I've reached out they just refer me to my manager which doesn't make sense because I always try to deal with my direct manager before reaching ER. It doesn't help that my manager usually directs me elsewhere when I try to resolve issues. I just seem to get the run around for multiple important issues without anything being resolved. Not to mention all the conflicting/wrong information given on literally any and every topic. This seems so unorganized and unprofessional for an organization this size. I am far along in pregnancy and this added stress has started causing complications. I was just curious how some long timers here have went about resolving issues that arise. Thanks in advance!

ER seems like they are trained to play devil's advocate hard af based on the principle of the other party not being present in the conversation to defend themselves. In my opinion, they are a waste of time that exist to keep up with the appearance game of business ethics. They are not the least bit interested in providing genuine actionable/tangible support to a disenfranchised or mistreated employee.
If your job is creating issues with your pregnancy, Fire off an email to HR, CC your manager, CC their manager, and ponder going to a third level manager. Don't hesitate.. politely yell at this point. Your number one priority is the health and well being of you and your child. Protect yourself. If you receive even the slightest bit of "retaliation", make sure you have a paper trail.
I truly wish you the best of luck.
Try to send things via email to groups (especially HR related)
Remember HR is for the company’s protection and not yours, so be mindful so you don’t get listed in any way
It’s always worth calling ER when you don’t think you’re being managed right
It's easier to think of the bank as several entirely separate smaller companies, especially within HR. It seems like everything is dealt with using 3rd party companies, and none of those 3rd party companies talk to each other. I started to get some traction regarding my issue by using HR Chat (on Flagscape) and going from there. Be persistent. It's stressful, but you have to be your own advocate here. Good luck!
No point. I got the runaround as well with them. The issue was with my manager and they kept referring me back to them. Nothing was ever solved.
There must be something special about your 'issues' here. Send once more, and copy both your own manager and employee relations. Assuming you haven't already been given a direct answer you didn't like, and you're just still looking for some loophole to an answer you'd like better. (which isn't going to happen.)
