So do Sam's clubs ever close down? When there's bad weather and all other businesses around the area that are closed they stay open and if associates can't get to work they give them points. Every school can be called off within 100 miles of the area you live and parents can call off but if I can't get out of my apartment cuz I get stuck in the snow I get points for calling off. So happy to work for a company who cares so much about it's associates

We were in an area, that we were under a snow emergency for 2 days and if we had called in, we didn't get points for it.
Glad they don’t close. Don’t want to use pto for a cold miserable day. I like my pto days warm and sunny 😎. Plus I like the challenge driving in bad weather lol.
Yeah, a company has Protected PTO and other benefits, they are so cruel and evil. One of the most generous leave policies in the industry. But yet people still complain
Sam's has NEVER been fair and equal with all associates. Can't you see that? No use in complaining...the management and team leads (🤣) do whatever they want depending on who you are. Don't stress yourself out. Get another job where you are appreciated! There are plenty!
They close for nothing. Unless the power goes out and you still have to stay in case it comes back on. If you can't make it for state of emergency, you call out for that. There shouldn't be points. Otherwise, they don't care. Could be full on apocalypse with no hope of survival and they would still be open to get the last dime.
Only time seen Sam's close early is cause of covid and the fear of stores being looted
Use your protected don’t pi-s it away then cry when you get a point.
At the club I work at, we do not get points for not showing during bad weather. And if we leave early for bad weather we do not get pointed either.
You could be laying in a ditch somewhere they wouldn't care , they would give you a point because they have no soul in this company!!
Years ago when Mrs. Walton passed away Walmart & Sams Club stayed open the full day, you would think the company shut down at least a couple hours in her memory, but no them registers must always be taking in them dollars.
We had a state of emergency and were still open. Got points if you didn't show up.
No not usually. I’ve been there 30 years and I only remember closing twice. Once because of weather and declared a state of emergency and another time for a complete loss of power due to a blown transformer.
Sams closing for snow day. Ha!
