Wanting to quit after maternity leave

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows the deal with not returning at end of maternity leave. I plan to give notice etc just didn't want any surprises. I didn't find anything specifically in bank of america policy about having to repay wages or benefits just figured someone here may have had experience with this. Thanks!

No, you won't have to repay anything, but you may be put on the do not hire list. Think about your future - would you ever want to come back in say 5 years when your child goes to Kinder? If so I'd come back for a few months, wait until you get your bonus and 401K matching for the prior year and then say you're leaving for another opportunity outside the company. Looks better than just not coming back.

Congrats on expecting! Enjoy your little bundle, enjoy the maternity leave, maybe come back for a month, then run far far away from this place. There's no work / life balance.

A lot of women come back and quit. HR will probably be surprised if you came back and didn't quit.

We had a lady do this on my team. Got hired, went on maternity leave 6-9 months after getting hired, came back and worked for a month before putting in her notice. made it even worse is her husband worked for the bank too.

Just show up to work after your maternity leave ends and put in your notice.
