Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Did anyone other than the CEO got an actual raise? Incentive? Hope? Anything?

I got a 2% increase- a ridiculous figure. M/M just because they felt like giving me M/M when I do most of the work in my team, never had M/M. They also plan to increase minimum pay to $25/hr for new hires, what about the associates who have been here a long time? They also already offer new hires over $20/hr while more tenured associates never got a glimpse of the new pay. Is this even legal? Has anyone tried to check with a lawyer to see if we can file a class-action lawsuit vs BofA? That would be awesome, call their attention in any way since they don't seem to be listening to the little people who have been keeping this ship from sinking for years. For now I am just doing the bare minimum my job description requires, the going above and beyond is not worth it in here anymore. Got an RTO date, but not going back to the office either. We got a pay cut and they expect us to pay for car maintenance+gas+time+tires ($2500+ extra you will have to pay out of your pocket a yr =another pay cut) to get to their s. . .ho-e to be stuck segregated in old buildings with sick people all day and do that every day until we die? NO, THANK YOU!

At least you got a raise. I know many employees in this organization that simply didn’t get a raise this year!

I've never seen anything like this in 20 years. bonuses are a joke. on paper they may look good, until you are hit with 48% in taxes. kiss 50% of your bonus goodbye.

regardless of how much time and energy I put into projects, it's never enough.

management just pushes and pushes without understanding the big picture. I rarely complain about anything. now I feel like I'm between a rock and a hard place. I truly enjoy my job. same job for 20 years, same deduction, same happiness when I can finish a project. over the past 5 years I've turned to multiple peers, management, groups for ideas and any help to get out of the rut I'm in. nothing, even being part of a team dedicated to helping people like me have failed me. it's depressing when I stopped going to meetings and no one ever called to see if I'm okay.

yet, regardless of all the BS, headaches, lack of support and guidance, I continue to work and produce knowing that the positive efforts go unknown.

2%, M/M pay cut considering inflation. BM's pay is an insult to rank and file!

I’m glad they have a goal to pay $25/hr for the new people. If the minimum wage had kept up with inflation and COL then it should be around 27-31 an hr.

What I’m not happy about is that the they are giving terrible raises when inflation is 7-10%. It’s total BS and I am taking the hint and will go elsewhere. A company with record earnings, and gives their CEO a 30% raise but doesn’t share the wealth with their employees, is not a company I respect or want to work for.

I was a top producer across the board in my area last year, consistently for the ENTIRE year. . . With my raise I am making less than the person I am training that’s new to the same role. Bonus was also a joke and still got a M/M

It’s not about what you do or the quality of work you have. BOA is about who you know and if your boss likes you or not.

If you don’t have connects and are part of the “in crowd” you will continue to be screwed. They make up what they want to hold you accountable for each year.

Life expectancy for males in the USA is 78.1 years. He's 65. It's obvious about 13 years he'll need the money...

There once was a rich man who was near death. He was very grieved because he had worked so hard for his money and wanted to be able to take it with him to heaven. So he began to pray that he might be able to take some of his wealth with him.

An angel heard his plea and appeared to him. “Sorry, but you can’t take your wealth with you.” The man begged the angel to speak to God to see if He might bend the rules. The man continued to pray that his wealth could follow him.

The angel reappeared and informed the man that God had decided to allow him to take one suitcase with him. Overjoyed, the man gathered his largest suitcase and filled it with pure gold bars and placed it beside his bed.

Soon afterward, he died and showed up at the gates of heaven to greet St. Peter. St. Peter, seeing the suitcase, said, “Hold on, you can’t bring that in here!”. The man explained to St. Peter that he had permission and asked him to verify his story with the Lord.

Sure enough, St. Peter checked it out, came back and said, “You’re right. You are allowed one carry-on bag, but I’m supposed to check its contents before letting it through.”. St. Peter opened the suitcase to inspect the worldly items that the man found too precious to leave behind and exclaimed, “You brought pavement?
