Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

One More Reason

Inflation, low raises, upcoming pips, and sky high gas prices are all just the latest reasons to leave this place. I'll just be treading water in my job until I find something new.. hopefully soon.

Wait, why would high gas prices be a reason to leave? If anything, they would be a reason to stay since we get 10% off Exxon gas. Obviously that savings wouldn’t actually play a major role in someone’s decision to stay, but I don’t get why someone would leave because of it.

It's called gouging and gloating.

EM will give the profits gained from the high oil prices back to the employees :)
That's the perks working for oil and gas company right? :p
Or employees should demand for higher discount when they tank at Esso station...

Well, only one going up apart from the other oil companies. CVX outperforming XOM even.

But look at our stock price, friends.
Almost the only one going up right now.
We'll be back on the Dow before long.
Chin up!
