Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

They dream of younger and less expensive employees

This is a fine idea, they will slowly replace us, older employees with experience with new hires who do not have much experience but are not expensive. However, they seem to completely ignore the fact that this place is no longer attractive to the new generation, which expects something much different from the workplace than BNY Mellon has to offer.

@2bbn ...not to mention they can spell working at a job that pays a decent wage so they'll be able to pay off their student loans.

@rlc, that's what I was going to mention. Then you have the fact that they don't hold a job for more than 2 years so by the time they get all their access set up and understand any of the business they'll be gone. Almost as bad as our off-shore employees.

New younger hires have been coming in at higher price points than seasoned old employees…. If facts matter.
