Car-car has mediocre abilities and a lack of self-awareness. He genuinely believes that while he pampers and preens himself, things will magically happen and all his promised future vehicles will be produced. When things don’t magically happen, he genuinely believes that someone else is to blame (for attempting to sabotage his career).
His type are always at the center of the eventual demise of a company.
Top professionals are generally humble and also admit very quickly when they don't know, or got something wrong. But so do lesser mortals who have a strange affliction called 'honesty'.
A leader is defined as someone who has a vision & a plan that everyone can understand. People are still struggling to figure out what is the Vision and Plan? BF starts off with the Station. Suppose to be a Tech center. Then we hear last year Apartments? What is this place other than a money pit? Anyone other than a Family Member they would have been fired.
JF. Time will tell the story and legacy for him.
The big problem I have with our current senior management. Most of them have been in positions of power for some time. JF marketing and FOE what has he delivered? Complexity went up, Ford retreated from certain markets. Now our competition has jumped right in there.
HTT. Mister so called engineer. Come son and lecture us how we have been doing it wrong! Yeah, you are paid the big bucks for how many years and have ZERO to show for it. The bureaucracy grew under you HTT it was not trimmed.
Not my worry anymore. Took the package and made money shorting the STOCK over the years.
I will not say anything yet about Ford E. Waiting to see how they staff and run that organization. Maybe if they staff it with enough outsiders, they might make it work?
At least Fields was just trying to continue what Mullaly started. BF didn't like it because it wasn't woke enough.

He is clueless Jimmy Har Har. Riding the wave. It will collapse soon. He will have no idea how to fix what is broken and he will be replaced.

@dcq+1fD0jcC5 I won't be so sure. JF was elected because he is a yes man. That's exactly what BF wants, so he can develop his "vision" (whatever it is) without a technical CEO disapproval. JF will go away, probably with a golden parachute, when the sh!t hits the fan, taking all the blame away with him, and leaving Billy "immaculate", so BF can keep destroying this company.
OMG call Pope Francis Saint Farley needs to be canonized ASAP.
Crystal ball says epic failure on the horizon. The Ford culture of: nested silos, turf protection, hierarchy over knowledge, buffoon management and the stone-age Ford IT will ensure epic fail.
Farley won’t last long. He is all talk just like Mark Fields.
you wonder how much of the bad ford behavior will migrate to the EV division. all of it? after all, that's where the supposed opportunity is. the "players" and "big talkers" will all be scheming to go there. maybe ford blue will be the place to be? the golden, pure ford, made up of real workers. watch the quality shoot thru the roof on the ICE vehicles once the scammers are gone. i am joking but...am i?
