Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

They will never treat us better

I need this job. If I had a better option, I would leave immediately, but for now I still need it. I started feeling better ever since I came to terms with the fact that Mondelez will never treat us better. I used to be frustrated and I hoped that things would change for the better and that we would be valued more. I think now rarely anyone still hopes that we will ever get better treatment here?

Been told by a rms that they aren't allowed to give the best rating out for the merit raises. Such a joke

The ratings are a popularity contest.

If your manager likes you, you get exceeds+.

If your manager does not like you it will not matter how well you do. The manager has many different shady ways to knock you down to a "met expectations," or even a "partially met expectations."

I've seen it, I've lived it, this company sucks!!!

If you have a full timer getting 5 cent raises than they must be getting poor yearly ratings lol

Yes, once I became hopeless about any positive change, or better treatment, I actually felt better.

This company's culture is very negative, and punitive.

There are definitely better jobs out there than working at Mondelez.

Have you really looked for other work? There are so many job opportunities nobody should be "stuck" working somewhere they don't like. Mondelez doesn't even pay that well comparatively speaking. They start people well below the current starting wages. My 16 year old daughter makes more per hour working PT than my FT merchandiser of 5 years makes. Those annual 5 cent raises don't add up.
Be honest with yourself. No, things will never get better at Mondelez, but there are other opportunities out there if you have the courage to leave.
