I am currently an AVP in GTO. Looking to move roles internally. Can I ask for a VP position? How much salary raise should I expect? Is the interview process any different than if someone was to be hired externally?

This is sooo true.. when Favorites get promoted every year w/o justification (things that make u go hmm?). They are juiced in with the right manager connections.
@1gho+1fERJc1C Truth. I see this daily. People who are liked get promoted very easily, even if they don't fit the written criteria for that promotion. Others, who actually have demonstrated that ability, get nothing.
"internal mobility" uh huh.
Again, title promotions are for recognition for your dedication and hard work. Unfortunately these are used by most managers to coddle their favorites and not to reward people fairly. I've seen people here 6 months to a year get a title changes and others here for 5 to 10 years who are ignored even though they deserve one. Another tool that has been abused.
No pay change with title change.
Know the secret handshake. THEN you may have a shot.
If you’re in the business already and you’re a b5, raise will be minimum if staying in the business. The only way you receive a bigger increase is if you move from business to technology. You have to ask for the VP, but you won’t get it as a result of moving into a position. Good luck.
I hear all the money in GTO is realted to Scrittura bean shell scripting.
If I were you i would look into that
Title (avp,Vpetc)won’t change. Has to be done as promotion done twice a year for title promotion.
Title promotion is not a raise
No pay increase for title promotions.
There is no pay raise for a title change. You might get an increase if you change positions laterally or move up a band level.
I got 0 pay raise from AVP to VP
