Hearing from many people that VCG SWE is way above headcount hundreds 1xx . Recent salary raised by Pat put VCG into a tight spot budget and VCG SWE forced to reduce headcount. It's the same $$ budget but more people.

No layoffs under our great visionary leader Pat. Only hiring. In 5 years Intel will be $1T company. Raja's team is churning out great GFX products. DG2 will be launched on time.
hearing too, in validation group told us not to hire but tell engineers that we are hiring. keep on taking interviews and waste time. VCG over hired 100+ extra employees just to help DG2 but people who came from Nvidia, Apple, AMD, Samsung, Microsoft they are PIPed folks and made more worse. Mgmt don’t understand intel culture is not where people can give their 100%. Productivity goes from 100% to 10% .
People just talk and do minimum and keep the problem to secure job.
