My office is a cluster.
Teams not sat together, po’d managers with no office, we are now told will be re-stacking again.
How long have you had to get this right?

I used to work for another bank as a site operations manager (similar to what CPG does), and it's shocking to me that they're this unprepared. They may not know everyone who's coming in, but that's what the LOB liaisons are for. They get lists of who works for which business and plan out seating accordingly. It's a bit challenging at times, but that's what we get paid for. I assume they have people working in CPG who aren't really experienced.

Use the same tools you used when remote. If you are in a neighborhood layout, its first come first serve. If you don't sit together, that is tough. We have plenty of tools like Teams/Skype/etc that allow for collaboration. You do not need to sit together to accomplish a thing.

IT’S LITERALLY THEIR JOB THE LAST SEVERAL MONTHS TO CREATE SEATING PLAN.
I'm in a group with permanent work from home and they still send me emails about the parking garage being closed at my "assigned office location" in the system which I guess is just a random one in my metro area. Also when COVID started we got notifications of people testing positive in some Iowa location when we are all in another state. Left hand doesn't know what the right is doing, etc...
no chair, phone or monitors and they had boxes stacked on the desk....way to be prepared....
How hard is it to do an "Open" floor plan? My kid could do it.
To the person saying to give whining a break, the return to office has been talked about for months.
There is no reason for the seating to be wrong.
It’s not that hard to assign seating especially given the time & empty office situation (don’t have to move around people), and if it is hard for someone they should have asked for help to be sure it was done.
So here we are back in the office living out of boxes…so much better for the business then working from my quiet organized home office smh
While waiting for the restack you can gather around the water cooler and share ideas
Never expect much from CPG. You will only be disappointed.
if managers are just now realizing that they no longer have offices in most cases they haven't been paying much attention
"Restack" is a word I do not miss.
Seeing as it's the first time in the office for two years, I imagine it will take some time to sort things out. Give the whining a break already.
