Did AIG get rid of their WC claims program today? How many people do you estimate were laid off?

Thanks for the update. Good luck to everyone in whatever you decide to do.
Yesterday, WC claims had 3 different phone conferences. Which one you received an invite to attend determined your future with AIG.
- Catch Up Call, advised your position was being eliminated. Notice of termination effective July 8th. These folks will receive the severance pay.
- A call for those selected to stay on with AIG. L&H claims, compliance and some managers to oversee GB claims handling.
- The majority of the folks ended up here. They were advised that they were being transferred to GB effective 07/11. Transfer at the same salary and PTO. No pay increase. No severance pay.
Adjusters get pay increases by changing companies. Most will not wait around to move to GB, they will go find a job that offers more money. Adjusters are in demand and will have no problem finding another job at a higher salary.
Only layoffs in MMS but it was just a notice that it will happen in July.
Waiting on meeting this afternoon hopefully will be laid off
How did you hear about the W/C layoff’s today?
No layoffs in the eastern zone.
