Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Team of 20 no more.

I am on a team of 12 people and every single one is looking elsewhere for employment. Actively sharing job postings, networking outside of work, adding each other as peer referrals. All for the same reason, they have no hope for the future. Only one other person in my group reads the same posting here at thelayoff.com but all of them share the same sentiment and fears that are on these boards. No direction, mismanagement of people, managerial knee jerk reactions, poor pay and stock performance, the list goes on and on. We were a a team of 17, now we are down to 12 with more to come.

People are leaving chasing $$$ or cause they want full time remote. Citi is a decent place to work.

Examples of why people are leaving? I’m interviewing with Citi may not be worth it for me to move.

The saying “what have you done for me lately” is a two way street. I don’t think management realizes that.

Citi is a dumpster fire of a bank. A lot of better options out there, good luck ok yiur search.

You can't make this up, like Mike Mayo said, "Will Citi reach book value in our lifetime?"

You know the answer...nope. Jane is more worried about wokeness than returning shareholder value and execs padding their bonuses for "doing their job" which is nonsense.
