Any updates? I heard there is a hiring freeze. Worried about RIF.
When are Manager’s (management) going to be RIF’d?

Actually, there always has been too much management. Oh man just think of all the bucks you could save?? And I am not talking about the cheap GEHC management in China and India. I am talking about USA (American) GEHC management. :)
More RIF’s to come you ask? Yup.
Think about it, GE RIF'd when the orders were flowing, margins were good, and product was shipping - what do you think happens in this environment? Fully expect new leadership to try and undo some of the damage done by EC with the zone structure and headcount fat associated with it. Not coincidental you recently received a note updating layoff benefits for salaried employees - ignore it at your own peril!

The company wants to thank you, thank you, thank you for:
1- The insane hours you have worked to meet fictitious, nonsensical deadlines.
2- Coming up with creative excuses to customers to cover for GEHC abandoning its business obligations
3- Believing the rhetoric that the company's objective is to make the world a better place (one layoff at a time)
Any reasonable person understands that the Corporation must profit. Yet, the Corporation is not profiting...only a handful of shameless people. GE has capitalized on your efforts by dissecting a (once) world-class organization, and selling off the parts to make a fortunate few rich. There are car chop shops with better business ethics
GEHC laying off again???......not in a million years. This fine institution would never do that to the employees that it values so much. Red pill time my friend. This company does not value you, or even care about the contributions and sacrifices you have made. Be smart and find something else before the hammer drops...
