Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Dominate EV assembly, hmm.

Been building cars and trucks for 100 plus years. Defects abound on legacy vehicles and will carry forward to EV’s.

New customers won’t stand for such horrible quality. Doomed?

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2021-2022 Ford F-150 models over a defective front windshield wiper motor.

The defect: in affected vehicles, the front windshield wiper motor may become inoperative, causing the wipers to fail.

The hazards: an inoperative wiper motor has the potential for reduced visibility or loss of visibility in certain conditions, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford is not aware of any reports of accidents or injuries related to this condition.

Components: front windshield wiper motor.

Affected vehicles: select 2021-2022 Ford F-150 models built at the Ford Dearborn Truck Plant between January 8th, 2020, and March 22nd, 2021, as well as trucks produced at the Ford Kansas City Assembly Plant from February 12th, 2020, to March 22nd, 2021.

Number of vehicles affected: 157,306

The fix: dealers will replace the front windshield wiper motor, free of charge

Ford will compete with Tesla! Don't even think about it.

Better think of your employees growing frustration and declining productivity. These issues are not new to ford.

Oh no, Did they go back to vacuum wipers? Never ceases to amaze me how something as simple as a wiper motor can get jacked up. Someone must have saved a couple of cents to get there...
