Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

People leave and there is nobody to cover their work

That too is happening here. A colleague has left and for days now no one is able to cover her work. This is just one of the many consequences of terribly poor organization and poor management.

No one can cover her work because everyone is already overwhelmed. When the replacement finally arrives, instead of a warm welcome, that person will immediately get a huge and unrealistic amount of work to deal with.

Let's be real...there was never team. There are managers and then there is you. If you aren't doing everything in your power to leave then you are failing you. The philosophy that makes sense in a corporate environment is letting the whole thing collapse. That's sadly the only way they change.

We had two team members leave since December and also are feeling this way. It will just keep leading to more turnover and new hires feeling unprepared for their job. Maybe management needs to step in and take some work off of the staffs plate.
