Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Inconsistent

anyone else with literally no customer contact wondering why they’re being forced to return to the office? same here!

certain lines of businesses have been granted a hybrid schedule already (heard loan processing) are only required in office 2-3 days a week. while the rest of us are required 5 days in office, no exceptions. absolutely ridiculous.

what a great way to say thank you for all the hard work in helping them achieve record earnings while being forced to return to the office after getting an insulting raise. at this rate we’re paying to go to work rather than getting paid to work after paying $200-$300 in gas a month as is!

I have spent the last two weeks applying for jobs. However long it takes, I'm getting myself a remote job. BOA does not listen to it's employees.

Same here. My team is spread throughout several states. We do not "collaborate" around the water cooler as the old school folks imagine we do. They just don't have a good enough reason for us to return. So all the banks use the same adjective as their reason for coming back in. I don't know how certain areas are wfh three times a week, others are wfh two times a week. Then there are the people who are lucky enough to have my work.

I have been in the same situation for years. I was removed from MyWork back when they limited the program to get people to quit. I am the only person in my time within hundreds of miles, but I have to commute to a cubicle now instead nof WFH. This is an extension of that same goal: force people to return to the office, have a certain number resign, claim the savings in operations expenses, and then claim you haven't laid anyone off. It's evil.

I am the only person from my team in my office. This makes no sense. The policy is very inconsistent as I have other team mates who are still allowed MyWork and others who are refusing to go back until they are threaten with termination.

I had a call with a team mate yesterday, since phone calls are the way our team communicates since we are spread across the nation. Anyways, she was talking so softly I could hardly hear her, why because she was back in the office surrounded by others. "We are a work from office company" is such an out dated mind set.

I certainly don’t blame you on that aspect. I also feel like making calls with several side conversations going on around you and I’m the background makes for a negative experience for the customer.

Good luck with your interviews! I hope everything goes well.

I'm the only person on my team in my location. So now you want me doing all my calls from the office instead of at home? Hard pass. Have 2 full remote interviews lined up to get out of this place.
