Ok so d-mb question. I work at orahole in support of EBS crapware. So many posts on here about GBUs. What area of Orahole is that?

This is a good example of the cr-p that flows downhill from management at oracle. My bet is that this person is part of the management. Bunch of a-holes, always sh-----g on everyone.

The author of this remark has no clue that people matter. Employees are only as good as their managers. Managers that do not listen are lazy & worthless to any organization and need to be the first on layoff list. This is the perfect example of why Oracle is failing and products & support are no longer good. The author is the cause of their own demise. The Oracle name has lost its value. Good luck to this person, this Mgmt style will hurt when looking for the next job. It’s sad. Employees will get better jobs with training that pay more. Most of Management will most likely have a tough time finding a job even with a tremendous pay cut. You might find yourself interviewing for another job with one of your former employees. The word is out on the street re: Oracle VP employee abuse. Totally unacceptable behavior and it will come back to you, maybe in court.
A good company does not allow that type of negativity. You need help.

You are a fugging clown. I most certainly deserve a raise as the paycheck I now receive is worth about 13% less than it was worth a few years ago when I started earning it. That mo--n Buzz can blab all day about this being a pay for performance culture, but at the end of the day the company is compensating less and less value to me as time goes by, while expecting me to give more and more output value. That's not a pay for performance culture, that's an abusive relationship.
I've tried to be successful and do the best I can at this job for way too long, DESPITE the neverending stupid shenanigans that mgmt is always up to. If anyone cares about the software, the customers, each other, or even the company, it's people at my level, not these clown mgrs that couldn't make a good decision if someone else already made it for them.
My attitude is terrible, most definitely. But that's a result being here trying to navigate this shiteshow for as long as I have. Everyone I work with...the few that remain, feel no differently, or even more cynical than I do.

Global business unit. Basically they are where the industry specific apps are grouped post acquisition. I worked in one. We acquired company after company. Ever year Botox Betty or Bowl Cut Bob (illustrious leaders) would say is the latest and greatest. It will wash your car, make wife happy, and everything else. So latest GBU added company would then bring in their folks. For some reason the leaders would get on knees and give all these clowns mgmt jobs. Even if they had 1/10th the experience of the employees they would be managed. The GBU model is a complete disaster. Mike Sicilia runs it. Look him up. He’s like a human rock biter. Absolutely terrible ruthless 1985 type leader.
It makes me laugh cause me and tons of others worked about 10 hours a week cause GBU jobs sucked.
