The decision has already been made. HR knows who will be PIPed this year. They are just waiting for the PDS process to somehow justify the "chosen ones".

I'd expect an accelerated process this year.
Turn in your PDP and 2 weeks later you'll get the Pip meeting if needed.

Believe it or not, the Mgt Reviewers don't get along either. Skip all that.

Your Nose Ochre level squared minus Salary Years. Easy to figure.

There’s an interesting situation concerning the wave of retirements coming on June 1st (the interest rate for Q3 2022 will go up by at least 0.65%, meaning a 6-7% drop in lump sum), likely to be continued at an ever higher pace in the next year.
Local management, desperate not to loose more people, want to put those who have announced retirement on that date in NSI. HR defends the orders from corporate level - they want both the retirements and the full PIP, which will allow to eliminate whatever REs are still hanging around after June 1st. Besides, if local managers use the announced retirements to fill up their NSI quota, that would have to be vetoed anyway by HR because it wouldn’t “reflect the overall demographic distribution”.
We’re going to see an interesting conflict here.

March 31 - Assessment period ends
April - Make your accomplishments no one looks at in Career Connect
2nd ish week of May - Ranking session popularity contest
End of May / early June, HR makes sure PIP is their target demographic
Late June / July, Placed on Performance Plan to make you awesome again!

The PDS process will begin soon and The Hunger Games will start.... Time to increase your visibility and backstab your coworkers. And time for managers to prepare 2 minutes speech about you for your accomplishment in 1 year...Booo....

Or putting people on PIPs, whatever is the correct term. I'm sure you know what I mean in either case.
