Treat employees better

It shouldn't be this hard for management to realize that the more pressure and unnecessary stress they put on employees, the more they affect the quality of our work. I think this should be more than clear from our recent results and the myriad of recalls, among other things. Why is it such a problem to treat employees better when it's in everybody's best interest?

Sadly the pulse results will be overwhelmingly positive since they track and penalize truth tellers.
Close friend has a rotten LL6, one of those pervs who is inappropriate always making derogatory and demeaning comments about women and minorities. Before WFH it was worse as he was also very ‘hands-on’. All the women and minorities gave the guy horrible pulse scores, they all got pulled into a meeting with the LL5 and LL6 and were told they better not give low pulse scores ever again.
After that my friends husband and his brothers had a ‘meeting’ in the parking lot with the pe-v LL6. That solved my friends problem but not her coworkers problems.

This is why people are leaving Ford. In droves. Terrible leadership at all levels. Treating people terribly and then being rewarded with another promotion! It in pure insanity and starts at the very top.

I can't wait for the latest Pulse results.

@nqb,

Yeah, working at Ford can be a roll of the dice. I wonder if I'd be better off just learning to day trade stocks! There might be
a lot less risk. I'm serious.

Reorgs drastically change the landscape as do the LL5 shuffles and LL6 shuffles.
A buddy of mine changed jobs to get away from a horrid LL5, a year later he was again under the horrid LL5 again, he changed jobs again only to be under the same jerk two years later. It’s hard to know what to do, sit and bear it or switch.
HR knows the LL5 is driving people away but doesn’t care.

@OP

Try going to a different department. Ford is huge company, and just like the Detroit area there is bad areas and real nice areas. You can't generalize all of Ford as good or bad.
Some departments can be horrible, while others have some real nice jobs. I have switched departments a few of times, and each time it feels like I work for a different company.
