People should refuse overtime so they will hire people who are struggling to feed their families that were laid off...
But I know people won't refuse OT because we have a lot of greedy f-kks that work here.

Refuse OT? We are offered unpaid time off excused. Very little work being done at our site due to the supply chain fiasco.
Get a job at a Dodge dealership. My co-workers and I are working so much OT we are all looking at buying a Dodge Charger Sc-t Pack. A win / win for everyone!
Unfortunately it's cheaper for the company to offer OT rather than pay wages and benefits (however cr@ppy they are) to more employees. That's just the way it is.
This is the best job market in a long time, if someone isn't employed after being let go over a year ago I bet they were a real productive employee.
If overtime is refused overtime becomes mandatory... They'll pull that lever before they hire additional heads.
Not saying it's right, but after 20 years I've seen this a time or two.
