Why are so many of you bothered by high attrition? This works well for us. The more people quit, the less need there is for more layoffs. I'm willing to pick up part of their work if that means we'll get job security back. Would you rather be kicked out on your behind than have to work a little harder?

Well you can stay and do everyones else's work in a place that is completely disfunctional in their tools and processes. They are so far from customer oriented its not even funny.
Same. I'd take severance over staying here in a heartbeat.
I'd rather get laid. off. Give me severance and the ability to GTFO of the Seattle hellhole and go work somewhere else.
