Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

I'm sorry things are still bad at BofA

I left in 2018 and to this day I'm happy I made that decision. My new company is far from perfect but I'm in so much better position than when I worked at BofA. I recently stumbled on this site and decided to check how things are these days and judging by the posts, it has somehow managed to get worse. I didn't think that was possible. I feel bad for everybody who has to suffer through what I consider to be the worst corporate culture I've ever encountered. I wish you all luck.

I was severed a few years ago after being there for over two decades. I quickly landed a new job right after the layoff and never looked back. The last two years of my tenure, I was praying to be severed. And my dream came true on a beautiful, sunny Wednesday morning.
My new job is very good. Admittedly, I am not making the salary I had at BAC. I am about 15% less than where I was, but the benefits, work-life balance and low pressure job are incredibly satisfying. (No overtime, weekend or management responsibilities). This company only has 300 employees, and they treat each other like family. Something that is long gone from the glory days at BAC.
One thing I do miss, is a dozen or so people who I worked with off and on during my career. I still keep in touch with all of them. Some are still at the bank, but a number have moved on to better things, or have retired.
There is life outside BAC. When you leave…. Don’t look back!

I left a job before and was happy with my decision and never looked back. Being happy with my decision I would never post on a layoff board for the old company stating how much happier I was today. Sounds to me like regret.

I also left a while back and recently was given my compensation numbers at my new smaller firm.

Bonus was 12.5 times what it was at BAC. Base increase also beat inflation for the year.

@iih+1fcvn1Li I've worked here several years now and I find it to be a terrible place to work, to be frank.

I'd love to here, specifics, on why you think it's great as most of the people seem to disagree.

Take this forum with a grain of salt. The people that find this forum are ones that google search looking for it, which means they have some preconceived notions about working here.

In my opinion, working here is still great. But things are not going uphill, things are sliding.
