Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Possible Layoffs Soon

We had a big town hall in claims today. A lot of references to "minimizing expenses", "increasing labor efficiencies", "eliminating waste" and "stream lining processes" as we move into 2022 were commonplace. They openly said the next phase of Transformative Growth is on the agenda this year and an increase to our shareholders and investors is in the fo-e front. Not many of us came out of this today very optimistic.

I heard the same old BS from these leaders 4 years ago. It's like a broken record.

Everything, and I mean everything, is headed offshore. If you don’t like it, then it begs the question why are you voluntarily working for Allstate? It’ is the new business model. And so far Wall Street approves and Wilson, Shapiro and others in leadership are getting kudos. It is what it is. When you leave, Allstate will be happy and replace you with somebody based overseas that makes a fraction of what the company paid you. They’ll be ecstatic. And If you don’t leave, then know that it’s only a matter of when, not if, they come knocking on the door to inform you that your job is being eliminated.

If it is the NatGen meeting from yesterday that OP is talking about then I concur as it was pretty yikes. Our area was invited to it and all I can say is that area is not long for this company.

State Farm is in discussions to ship claim jobs to India. I would say it is follow the leader, but that’s not right. More monkey see monkey do.

They gonna be picking who the cheapest smartest mongrels are within Nat Gen to not flush and lay off the old expensive dogs at Allstate and Nat Gen and make them do Allstate and Nat Gen claims combined …until Pune is ready. Bye bye folks.

What zone was this “Town Hall” ? We are having rah rah meetings but nothing about reducing processes or expenses. Everyone is miserable. It’s super obvious in their voices and expressions.

They want it all in Pune, give zero fu--s about on-soil employee happiness. We have become the worst company to work for.
