Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Marketing strategy

A lot of things have always depended heavily on the marketing strategy.

Before I even came here, I remember being thrilled with the ways the brand was presented. I'm not saying that today's marketing strategy is bad, I don't even have the competence to discuss it in depth, but... Maybe it can be better? Perhaps I'm just being too negative, but very often I don’t like the Nike commercials I see.

OP, what a waste of time is this ? if you are still working at Nike you are exactly where you are, of all the things that are going on, this is what bothers you?

It’s become apparent that people on here are running out of content.
Have you considered a new hobby?
Perhaps a book?
Maybe check back in when there’s another actual layoff happening.
Or go the route of some and use LinkedIn as a personal blog to post vague criticisms and inspirational stories as a means of half-assed job hunting.
Or don’t and continue to confuse this site for a social opportunity.
“ Hey how about that cafeteria food, am I right? Unbelievable what we put up with at Nike.”

What's even more perplexing is how much marketing budgets have been scaled back yet the marketing teams didn't lose very much from reorg. If there aren't any marketing activation's anymore, what are those people being paid to do? There's still layers and layers of management. For what?
