Thread regarding CoreLogic Inc. layoffs

Not Rumor, but Truth...Layoffs are happening in 2022

Posted on Feb 9, 2022 on Glassdoor:

Pros

My team were great, the communication, trust, ability to work together and have each other's backs was awesome.

Cons

I have only been with CoreLogic for a little over a year. Last week my entire department was notified we would be laid off as of July 29th, 2022. So, it would suffice to say I have very mixed emotions.
What I have learned in my early job search is that my entire department was sorely under paid!

Advice to Management

When you tell a department that they will not be effected by recent changes, DON'T LIE!
TSC (Technical Service Center) aka the Help Desk were told our department would not be effected by the recent buy-out late last year. Just a week ago we were all notified via a Zoom call they we would ALL be laid off as of July 29th, 2022.
I would also suggest that the board reconsider their decision as this will undoubtedly cost CoreLogic clients in the end.
The TSC know our clients well, many by name. We have built a rapport with the clients. They know they can trust us to help when they need us.
Our jobs aren't going to be easily replaced by some off shore, 3rd party...who likely will not speak English as their first language.
Clients will be very upset, they won't trust a 3rd party vendor.
The Board may THINK by laying my entire department off that they're going to save a few thousand bucks, but trust me...it will cost them much more in the end!
BAD DECISION!
And WORSE TIMING!
The two investment companies should be ASHAMED of themselves!

Sounds like desperation. Sounds like a group that justs wants to cruise to retirement instead of being better. Time to move on and learn new skills, customer support can be done by anyone and anywhere and even by bots. You don't need as many live support agents nowadays.
